How can I help?
GoalPace turns a goal finish time into a complete race-day plan. If something is not behaving as you expect, or you just have a question, the answers below cover most of it. For anything else, email bergmannstudio@icloud.com and you will hear back from me directly. I build GoalPace on my own.
What does GoalPace do?
You set a race distance and a goal finish time. GoalPace gives you the exact pace that goal requires, your arrival time at every split, a two-zone pacing strategy, a gel schedule timed to your race, your training paces, and what your goal predicts at other distances.
Which distances and units are supported?
5K, 10K, half marathon and marathon, in kilometers or miles. Units default to your device region and can be changed in Settings at any time.
Does GoalPace track my runs or write a training plan?
No. GoalPace is a race-day planner, not a run tracker, and it does not build a training schedule. It turns your goal time into a plan for the race and the paces to train at on the way there.
What data does GoalPace collect?
None. GoalPace has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no network connection of any kind. Everything you enter stays on your device and is deleted when you delete the app. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. Full detail is in the privacy policy.
Does GoalPace work offline?
Yes. GoalPace makes no network connections at all, so it works entirely offline and will never show you a permission prompt.
Where do the numbers come from?
Race predictions use the Riegel formula, training paces come from the Daniels and Gilbert VO2 model, and the fueling schedule follows published carbohydrate-absorption research. GoalPace uses no lookup tables.
